Volunteer Opportunities:

Classroom Volunteer

This sign up contains all room chair positions. Room parents help coordinate several parties and activities throughout the year.  This is a great way to spend some time in your child’s classroom!

Library Volunteer

Be a volunteer during your child’s Library time! You will shelve books and help the children check books in and out. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your child at school! If you are a new volunteer, please attend one of the training sessions on 8/10 following the PTA meeting, 8/10 at Noon or 8/22 at 8:10 AM. Library will start August 22nd.

Staff Appreciation

Sign up to be a part of one of the largest PTA committees at Frostwood.  Select a month that works in your schedule to contribute to the luncheons hosted by the Staff Appreciation Committee.  Contact Nicole Richardson or Libby Kafka with questions.

Yearbook Help

Yearbook Photographers       Grade level Photographers

The yearbook will need lots and lots of photos to capture as many memories as possible.  Three photographers per grade level are needed to cover classrooms candid shots, grade level activities, and school wide events.  Signing up as a photographer will make it your responsibility to cover all classes in your grade with your partners.

Sister School Solution

Housman Elementary is our sister school, located just outside of 610loop and just North of I10. You can make a difference in the lives of children by volunteering once a month for two hours. Activities include helping in the library, laminating, making copies, assembling classroom packets and whatever else needs to be done. The teachers and staff really appreciate our help! Frostwood also provides generous donations through our annual coat/winter item drive. Sign up today!

International Festival – TBD

The International Festival (I-Fest) and Parade of Nations are events where Frostwood celebrates the wonderful diversity in our school and our community.  Volunteers are needed for the Planning Committee, decorations, education, food, entertainment and more.

The Parade of Nations is an event where Frostwood celebrates the wonderful diversity in our school and our community.  Volunteers are needed on the day of and the day before the event to help the planning committee with decoration and snack/drinks area set up.
